How do I configure my email - POP3 or IMAP Configuration?

To set up or configure POP3/IMAP to access emails via your desktop client (e.g., Microsoft Outlook) please download our easy-to-use configuration wizard. This wizard will walk you through the POP3/IMAP settings required for a new account or to correct your current POP3 settings.

Please check the following requirements before using our POP3 configuration wizard:

Supported Email Applications

Outlook Express, Outlook 2002, 2003, 2007 & Windows Mail.

Supported Browsers

IE 5.0 and above, Firefox 3.0 and above.

Supported Operating Systems

Win XP with SP2 & SP3 and Windows Vista

If your current desktop client is not supported you will require instructions below

In addition to the username (full email address), password, and matching email address*, the following settings are needed when configuring your 3rd party email client:

Note: If you do not know your email password please click here to log into your Register.com Account Manager to change the current password.

POP Settings:

Incoming POP3 mail server: mail.exampledomain.com

Outgoing POP3 mail server: mail.exampledomain.com

Secure Password Authentication: NO

Incoming POP3 port number: 110

IMAP Settings:

Incoming IMAP mail server: mail.exampledomain.com

Secure Password Authentication: NO

Incoming IMAP port number: 143

Outgoing SMTP mail server: mail.exampledomain.com

Outgoing SMTP server requires authentication: YES

Use same settings as Incoming Mail Server: YES

Outgoing port number: 25 or 5125

*The email address entered must match an email address that is assigned to the domain
